Agneepath – The Movie that epitomizes the love of a boy for his father.

 

This is a movie which epitomizes the love of a boy for his father. The Vijay has no repentance in what he does his only goal is to avenge his father’s unjust killing by the anti hero Kancha. At the end while Vijay breathes his last he sees his father’s image calling him to follow him perhaps to read out the poem again.

This movie in my view has at last shown the face of pure evil in Hindi Cinema, Sanjay Dutt playing the role of Kancha has actually shown that pure evil actually exists between us and we don’t need to go to Hollywood to see Mr. Tom Riddle Alias Lord Voldemort, Sanju Baba as everyone fondly calls him has made a mark on screen which leaves the audience no choice but to nauseate at his every appearance on the screen, his portrayal is so strong as an the anti hero that the audience starts hating him at the very first sighting on the screen, perhaps one of the best portrayals of a negative character by an actor who is used to play roles where the audience always loved him. Mr. Dutt has indeed proved his versatility by playing the role of the immensely hated Kancha

 

At the same time we had Rauf Lala (Rishi Kapoor) another character who is pure evil perhaps not as raw as the role portrayed by Sanjay Dutt but still unapologetic, ruthless, cold blooded, void of feelings and yet has his own charisma on the screen, a person whom you would love to hate. The heart throb of millions in the 70’s & 80’s plays his 4^th negative role and he is too good. The amount of love the audience showered on him in the movies during the 70’s & 80’s would just be overshadowed by perhaps the amount of hatred and disgust one would feel for him in this movis. I would say a perfectly characterized negative role by Rishi Kapoor.

 

I enjoyed seeing Kancha being killed in the movie as a matter of fact I could see some people flinch at Kancha’s ruthlessness in the movie and also people almost cheering to see him actually die at the end.

 

Post the movie I just can’t help humming the following lines written by Harivansh Rai Bachchan and adapted in the movie.

The beauty of this movie is that it has been remade by keeping the flavour of the original movie intact and also respecting it enough to not try and make an exacr replica and yet carving its own Niche.

 

For example the original was a struggle of a Man (Amitabh Bachchan) and the new one is that of a Boy (Hrithik Roshan)…

 

All in all a complete paisa vasool and an amazing jhatka to the brain.

A dazed dream…

A few days ago while waiting for my wife as I was gazing up the sky lost in the beauty of the clouds with a slight bluish and pink hue, I could not help but notice a clear highway in the sky where no cloud dared trespass. This probably was the road oft taken by the celestial beings residing in the skies hiding away from our plain sight living in their high castles floating camouflaged behind the clouds with their golden and silver linings.

The wait dint seem long due to the breath taking beauty of the skies, but as I looked at the watch strapped on my wrist did I realize that I had spent more than half hour gazing at the skies.

Then again when I looked up I found a beautiful shape or lets say formation of cloud which resembled a chariot or a space ship with bright and vibrant colors of pink, orange, violet, silver and the golden rays of the sun making it shine, it made me dray up an image of celestial beings perhaps converging at a large coliseum in the skies for their convention and there are perhaps many such chariots are on their way through the highway and many parked at the parking lot of the coliseum by the valets sharply dressed in their shining uniforms.

These celestial beings are perhaps meeting to decide on what is to be done with the mare mortals living down here upon whom they can look upon with ease. Perhaps it is to decide the fate of the countries and their leaders or may be just a periodic review meet with His Highness God chairing the event to look at the progress of the responsibilities given to the other celestial beings and reviewing their KRA’s and what should be their targets in the next calendar or divine year. I really don’t know what they are up to I was just thrilled at the thought and just then my wife came and shook me out of the trance like state I was in and in the haze I could see a celestial being talking to me and then I realized it was my beautiful wife meeting me after whole day and looking at me with all the love and then I got lost in telling her the entire story I just penned down.

I was watching a video by PETA just yesterday and found some annoying facts which were not facts at all.

The video stated that Meat caused heart diseases and that vegetarian diet reversed the effect, but pray tell me as to how. As far as I know it is only Red Meat that causes heart problem that too in excess but white meat like fish, turkey and chicken are the best source of Protein and minerals and also has no adverse effect on any organ of the body.

 

They also stated that Meat and Dairy products makes on FAT but what about carb rich vegetarian food like rice and potatoes which tend to make the mid section heavy.

 

They also said every pack of chicken contains some Poop, now I am sure these Peta guys have never been to a butcher’s shop to see that the chicken is cut, cleaned washed and then cut hence no question of Poop any where.

 

They stated that meat is filthy and bloody, have they smelled cabbage cooking or the smell of rotten tomatoes or other vegetables. Being a non vegetarian I can always say vegetables are filthy…what shit…goes get a life Peta people.

 

They also said that it was not fair on an animal, well I would want to teach them about the food chain where we humans are currently at the top. Why don’t they go to the Tigers and Lions and tell them how unfair they are by killing the animals of the jungle for their food and instead they should eat grass as it is “MORE HEALTHY”….we humans also have the canine teeth which I am sure God has given to tear meat and not grass…

Guess what they also said that Meat Causes impotence…I would like to see their research that links meat consumption and impotence… as far as my knowledge goes it is fatty deposits in the artery that causes impotence which can happen if a person has too oily and fatty vegetarian diet as well, sometimes it is genetic as well but I don’t find any connection between Meat and Impotence.

 

The Peta guys also said Mad cow disease inAmericaas far as I am concerned I don’t eat Beef and Avian flu has not hitIndiasince long….and no problem so far with fish…

 

They said that Violence must stop and no one should make a living out of killing, then their agenda is aimed at the wrong direction….to stop violence they need not target the non vegetarians and should rather target Terrorists, antisocial elements, Armed forces, Powerful Governments that make money by selling weapons to developing nations like India, Pakistan etc., I am talking aboutUSA,Russia,China, France, Israel etc. they surely do not have the balls to talk to the governments so they need to shut their traps. Finally if the butchers are got out of business what do they do for a living, are the Peta guys running an agenda to get people out of job in a global economy when people all over the world are losing Jobs due to incompetence of theUSadministration. They are enemies of their own species and hence should be tried in international courts and be treated as terrorists who are trying to harm the global economy by increasing the no of Jobless people in the world.

 

No one deserves to be killed for taste buds…dude some on tell them Meat is written as ME EAT (Since it is a joining of 2 words the 2^nd E is dropped)….well my theory more over the Peta guys have not had Haleem, Biryani, Kababs or Tandoori chicken, let them first taste it and then tell the same statement.

Talaq Talaq Talaq… What the Fuck

I was reading the news paper this Monday morning while sipping on my cup of tea and resting on my throne when I came across a news article on Deoband’s brand new fatwa. The fatwa says that if the husband utters Talaq 3 times over the phone and if the wife cannot hear it due to network issues or dropped call the Talaq still stands and holds good.

Just about a couple of weeks ago I did read another similar article where the same organization had released fatwas stating that Talaq given via E-Mail, IM or SMS also holds good. I personally would like to meet the imam of Jama Masjidand ask him about his thoughts on this.

I began to reflect that in an era where the activists around the globe are trying their best and also the governments trying to bring in legislations where the marriages can be saved form Divorce here we have an organization that is trying its best to dissolve them. I somehow feel that this organization somehow treats women an object of pleasure and I personally think that if they are trying Stone Age techniques the government should as well use Stone Age techniques like stoning the guilty to death to punish them.

I say this because if my memory serves me correctly then there is a law in India that states that a Talaq is valid if the husband says it to his wife in the presence of a Quazi as a witness, hence I am inclined to believe that what Deoband is saying is criminal in nature and is another form of terrorism to subjugate the innocent followers of Islam. I would like to plead to the government to seriously think of banning such organization which is attempting to harm the tradition, culture and way of life in India where a marriage is considered holy and a couple as partners for life.

The Ram Masjid or The Babri Mandir

Today on the day of the Ayodhya verdict I could not help but recollect a part of the speech delivered on August 11 1947, he said “in course of time Hindus would cease to be Hindus and Muslims would cease to be Muslims, not in the religious sense, because that is the personal faith of each individual, but in the political sense as citizens of the State”. This brings me to today’s reality where I started to think, as to why do we need a Babri Masjid or a Ram Mandir, why can’t we simply have a Ram Masjid or a Babri Mandir.

Sir Sayyid Ahmad Khan had once said that India is a beautiful bride and Hindus and Muslims are the 2 eyes of that bride. Come to think of it, even if one eye is harmed the beautiful bride called India is scarred for life and will cease to be beautiful ever again.

Mandir and Masjid are basically & linguistically speaking means the same. Both of them in their respective languages mean a place of worship and have nothing to say about any religion. Then I wonder if the intolerance to structures called Mandir or Masjid is marely due to ignorance to a certain language.

Today’s judgment has somewhere made me think and be at awe of the 3 wise judges who in their pursuit to give a free and fair judgment have come out with a very neutral judgment giving a piece of cake to all the parties involved.

A friend of mine very vociferously opposed to my idea of a Ram Masjid or a Babri Mandir, what my dear friend failed to perhaps fathom is that I am not trying to amalgamate the 2 religions but actually they already are very strongly bonded, why else would so many Muslims buy sweets during Diwali and so many Hindus feast on haleem during the holy month of Ramzan.

The striking similarity between the 2 religions has more than often made me ponder over the premise whether the 2 religions are actually different or are they the same thing being called differently in 2 different geographically separate regions with hints of the local traditions to customize it to the people’s comfort.

Well I guess I am entitled to have my own views just as every one is entitled to have their own.

I would like to signoff now with a humble request to everyone that we all must agree to disagree.

What Azadi…

I was watching Lamha the new movie based on Kashmir and the Azadi craze there. I then found a very interesting article on the editorial column of the newspaper where the Kashmiris are asking for freedom (freedom from oppression). They say that they have no rights like the rest of us Indians in the other states.

This led to a thinking process where I started to think where lay the error.

I remember reading in my history books that the Nizam of Hyderabad wanted the princely province to be a part of Pakistan after independence but subsequently it was annexed as a part of India using military operation looking at the oppression faced by the Hyderabadis in the hand of the Nizam, the people did not go ahead with terrorism like our Kashmiri brothers neither did they go to stone pelting and other associated nonsense with the struggle of the so called Azadi. The city is today a forerunner in the IT field in India and the people live a very Azad life.

So here is the difference that lay between the Hyderabadis and the Kashmiris one accepted India and worked towards the development like good citizens. The people there worked in development of industries, infrastructure and other requirements to make it a world class city and put it on the map where as our brothers in Kashmir never seem to have got out of the clutches of their Azadi mindset and still remained in 1947, with no industries, almost zero infrastructure and no jobs for the youth there.

All I am trying to say here is that dear brothers if you truly want azadi do not support the militants and keep asking for azadi, instead work for the development of your region like the rest of the country and become a part of the national fabric. Only then can you actually witness true freedom and not become people subjected to the treatment of being continuous suspects of terrorism or sympathizers of terrorists. Your men and children will no longer be pulled up for remand by the military, no longer will there be long curfews, no longer will there be an excuse for encounters fake or genuine…

If you want to actually taste azadi, stop all this violence for a couple of years and watch the Army pull out of Kashmir, watch trade and tourism flourish. You will find your children getting good lucrative jobs and peace prevailing all over the valley…

So guys drop your guns and embrace us with love.

Discipline Gone for a Toss

The Government of India has recently come up with an official statement in which it renders the parents beating their children a criminal offence under the clause of Child Abuse……What???

What ever happened to “Spare the ROD and SPOIL the child”, I remember being thrashed up by my parents for my misadventures, but I never attempted suicide even once unlike the chicken hearted kids of now days, I guess I have turned out to be a decent individual with a nice job and a nice life ahead because my parents disciplined me when ever I would waver from the right path.

What I am attempting to say here is that parents do not beat their children for sadistic pleasure or for torturing them but to show a consequence if one crosses the line of decent living. It is perfectly normal. Its all about parents disciplining the kid to install a sense of consequence if they do wrong. As my marketing professor always used to say, “there are no right or wrong in the real life, there are just consequences”, and it is up to us to chose our act depending on how acceptable the consequence is.

I know quite a few individuals through casual acquaintances who were spared from the rod and they actually turned out to be individuals whom one would not actually call a nice citizen cause they seem to lack the concept of consequences.

What I am failing to fathom is, what exactly is the government trying to prove by aping the sissy west with such laws.

I am appalled and simply cant understand.

If one’s parents cant beat their own child then logically neither can the government or any legal agency cause it would be amounting to physical abuse of an individual. Hence the cops cannot use “Lathi Charge” on a rioting crowd, neither can they beat up a hardened criminal in the remand room nor should they be allowed to carry guns or batons to discipline criminals and rioters, they should simply play the shrink and sweetly cajole them into becoming good citizens.

Sounds grossly stupid…I know, cause that’s how the government is sounding by making parents who try to discipline their children as criminals…

Protest by Maoists WTF…

Today I was going through the BBC news as usual and I found that the Indian Maoists are staging a protest cause there 8 comrades have been killed. What………yes you read it right those hardliner terrorists are protesting cause some cops killed them…in this scenario what should the police, Military and Paramilitary forces along with the innocent common citizens killed by them do stage a bloody Dharna in Lalgarh.

Its amazing that mans stupidity has no bounds…one needs to know that what goes around comes around and hence they went ahead and blew up trains, killed the men in uniform and terrorized the innocent citizens in the so called Red Zone of India, they deserved more. If it were left to me I would have asked our armed forces take aggressive action against them and show no mercy while hunting these rats out of their rat holes. They deserve to be killed. Ok I understand that they were wronged and all but now that they have made the awareness its high time they come to the tables surrender their weapons and talk to the government while the public is watching, the government in this case cannot do anything else apart from being just towards them.

They were wronged by a certain set of people but not by the complete community at large, hence their act of killing every uniformed man and non Naxalite sympathizer would be nothing other than common murder as done by any common criminal.

They should be given summon notice in the court of law for murder and tried for cases of human rights crimes and be given death sentence and since they are not available for the punishment to believed on them the armed forces should give them orders for eliminating them simple Justice for a fleeing convicted criminal…

Well these are my views…might come across as strong ones but nonetheless my views and what I would do if I was an elected representative of this country…

Sexual Harassment or Prostitution

This Friday I was watching Rajneeti, and like any political movie this also had the scandal of sexual favor for political favor. This brought back the thought that has come on and off many a times but never have I articulated it.

If a lady gives sexual favor to another man for some monitory, political or other favor then how does this amount to Sexual harassment.

In the movie Rajneeti the character portrayed by Arjun Rampall was accused for Rape under the same clause and the accuser Shruti Seth’s statement was that he had raped her for 3 long years.

In reality a lot of producers were accused of Rape on the concept of Casting Couch. There was a huge hullabaloo a few years back when a channel did some sort of sting operation and showed the darker side of the Indian film Industry where Casting Couch is rampant. So is the producer liable for Rape. I remember even big names like Madhur Bhandarkar being dragged into this controversy.

I have been thinking logically and then another concept came onto my head, there was an offence but surely not Rape, it was more of an agreement between two adults and thus would amount to consensual sex, the producer or the character of Arjun Rampal cannot be tried for Rape but they can be tried for Prostitution. The lady also should be tried as a Prostitute and sent to a rehabilitation centre. Give it a thought, a Prostitute can be defined as someone willingly solicits and accepts payment in monitory or non monitory form for doing sexual acts. Now is this exactly not what the character played by Shruti Seth was doing or any wannabe Actress or Model to a director.

This is my take on people calling out for sexual harassment suits after they have obliged for a sexual favor, they can cry out for cheating or lodge a case for breaking an agreement but not of Rape or Sexual Harassment, but yes if te Lady has slapped the case when the Predator has approached with the offer and she refused to oblige then the case of sexual harassment in my view should stand.

Exercising is a plot by doctors to increase patients…

I was on the cross trainer last evening doing my usual cardio stuff and then a thought hit me. We humans are like machines, and the brain works like the central processor, the veins like wires to transmit electrical pulses (Feelings and other stuff) and our Heart in the middle of all this chaos acts like a massive pump which works non stop.

Now to give it a thought, if you have ever looked at a pump you will realize that like every machine a pump also has a definite life, it is generally something like millions of cycles the motor rotates or some measure like that, and after running all those cycles the machine has a break down…so I thought that why would this logic not apply to the heart. Hence in case of the heart the measure should be number of beats after which I would require servicing or it breaks down. Then I realized that a normal heart beats 72 times a minute and on the cardio exercises our heart rate goes up to about 140-150 beats per minute. This would mean that for every hour we spend on the treadmill, cycle or cross trainer we shorten our Hearts service life by an hour apart from the precisions hour wasted on the machine…

Then I started to think as to who stands benefited if the people are having heart arrests or heart ailments…the cardiac specialists, and then the ultimate truth dawned upon me that almost every cardiac specialist in history has been asking us to exercise to lead a healthy life….ya rite a healthy life for him…

Shucks I just discovered one of the greatest scams by the doctors through ages…

This would also mean that most of the athletic activities are risky of the health and are actually fatal in the long run….
